Due to a Covid outbreak and staff shortages, the public campground will be closed from the evening of Sunday 8 March, reopening on the morning of Friday 13 March 2026. The adjacent Hampden Beach NZMCA Park will remain open for NZMCA members only.

New Zealand Motor Caravan Association
The acquisition of this idyllic Kiwi beach camping ground by the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association Inc. fulfills two important purposes; one, to allow the NZMCA to deliver on their Places to Stay Strategy and two, an opportunity to give back to the community.

Campsaver Rates for NZMCA members and POWER SITES only:
$25 - NZMCA members power site - LOW SEASON - 2 adults
1 May to the Thursday before Labour Day weekend.
$36 - NZMCA members power site - HIGH SEASON - 2 adults
Friday of Labour weekend to 30 April.
$10 for 1x extra adult
$5 per child (5-16 years)
$0 for infants (0 - 1 years)
Cabins and Non-Powered sites excluded.

We are pet friendly and love having well behaved pooches to stay. Please scoop all poop and pets HAVE to be on a lead at ALL times.
